Information we use
We may use your name, verified account email, organisation, telephone number, order and payment status, messages, report interests, account and security records, and communications. Reports may contain limited professional information about company officers or business people obtained from public registers, company publications, licensed sources and reputable news sources.
Purposes and lawful bases
- Accounts, orders, reports and payments: contract or steps requested before a contract.
- Enquiries, fraud prevention, security, service improvement and records: legitimate interests.
- Tax, accounting, consumer and legal duties: legal obligation.
- Optional cookies or direct marketing, if introduced: consent where required.
Sources and recipients
Data comes from you, secure sign-in, Stripe payment records, public registers including Companies House, company websites, data suppliers and news sources. We share only what is necessary with hosting, authentication, payment and email providers, professional advisers, suppliers and authorities where required. We do not sell personal data.
Transfers and retention
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we use an adequacy decision or approved safeguards where required. We normally keep order and financial records for six years; enquiries and publication requests for up to 24 months after last activity; security logs for up to 12 months; and account/report-access records while needed for the service and legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to legitimate-interest processing, or withdraw consent. Email us to exercise a right. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Public-source information
If a report contains professional personal information about you, contact us for its source, lawful basis and a copy. We take reasonable steps to provide privacy information, subject to lawful exemptions and proportionality rules.
Children and changes
The account service is not directed at children under 16. We may update this notice when the service or providers change.
